  1. FYI – I usually scrap and rewrite my beginnings after the entire manuscript is done. And since I am not doing that (because I promised NOT to do that), this chapter (Ch 2) feels like the beginning of the story. Ch 1 now feels like a backstory dump that I just had to get out of my head. However, I’m very pleased with the idiosyncrasies being laid out for Rez and Kinixys in Ch 2 and can’t wait to start weaving them into the conflict and dialogue. (Hehe… I am manically rubbing my hands together. Which makes it kinda hard to type. Do sinister people use voice-to-text when emailing their minions? I’m thinking: probably…)
